Herpetologists rejoice! I got incredibly lucky and acquired a whole pile of Vivarium magazines. For those of you not in the loop, Vivarium was the premier slick magazine (in the U.S. anyway) for reptile and amphibian enthusiasts. I'm something of an amateur herper so this was like finding gold since it filled out my own herpetology collection.

Now, a lot of these issues I already own so I'm selling the duplicates here.

Vivarium began in 1988. I was one of the earlier subscribers, captivated by the incredible photography. After several years, the economic realities of the times busted me out and I had to cut back on such extraneous expenses as magazine subscriptions.

Vivarium managed to publish into 11 Volumes (early 2000).

Sometime around the summer or fall of 2000, Vivarium was either bought out -- or sold to -- the company that currently publishes "Reptiles."

That makes Vivarium a collectable magazine since it is out-of-print.
